And they’re off! Summer Library Programs Are Underway!

It’s officially the summer library program season and several of you have either begun your programs or have started advertising them! We thought we would share the social media posts we came across this week so you could see all of the colorful, fun, and creative advertisements that our members posted:

Best of luck to you all for a wonderful summer library program!! Whether you’re coloring our world or leveling up, we know your patrons will be having a great time! Be sure to share photos of your decorations on social media and tag SWKLS and the State Library of Kansas. The State Library is also asking libraries to use the hashtag KansasSummerReading so they can have a colorful collection of summer library displays from all around the state. Thank you!

13 Ways to Kill Your Community is lively, full of personality, conversational, breezy, succinct, and fun. One can imagine readers seeking out information on boosting their local community sighing dutifully as they seek out material and then being relieved and delighted when what they find turns out to be as entertaining as it is informative. The information provided is sometimes startling and often positively revelatory. The anecdotes and examples are delivered with wit and a little bit of a dishy factor. But underneath all the fun is a clear breadth of experience, and a no-nonsense, practical approach to community building, which can be easily grasped. 13 Ways to Kill Your Community offers practical, implementable steps that can be taken to bring a moribund community back to life. This book delivers what it promises, and it does so with wit and warmth.

Verso Update: New User Management Module

Last night, Auto-Graphics rolled out a new update which replaced ‘Edit User’ with the new ‘User Management’ Module. You can find it under the User Admin tab on the Staff Dashboard.

I highly recommend watching May’s Versed in Verso to get an overview of the new update. You can access the materials by navigating to: Staff Dashboard > Support > VERSO.
