It’s that time of year again and we have a great workshop lined up for you! #TrendyLibrarian will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Dodge City USD 443 administration building, from 10 AM to 3 PM (Registration begins at 9:30 AM). The workshop will be seminar style and will be catered by El Charro. We have the following speakers lined up for you:

Our Keynote speaker is Dr. Michael Lynch. His topic will be: The Sociopolitics of the Rural Library in the Age of AI.

SWKLS Director Richard Brookman and CKLS General Consultant Liz Dukelow will be speaking on: Anime and Manga Terminology.

SWKLS Consultant/Program Coordinator Sara Wilson’s presentation will be: What Is My Book Rated? which will include a fun, audience-participation game and a chance to win an additional prize!

SWKLS Technology Trainer Chris Dressler will be presenting on: The Latest Apps for Library Professionals.

For All VERSO Users: VERSO Update Information

VERSO had an update on March 19. Here are the changes that were made.

From VERSO Product Manager Julie Cavender:

This release includes new functionality and enhancements to our new web-based bib editing tool which will only be available to current beta testers. In addition to AGEdit for editing bibliographic records, this release adds the ability to manage items associated with the bib record in a new Manage Items page.

If you’d like to enable AGEdit and have access to the functionality available with this release, please reach out to me or Customer Service. Note in the first screenshot, AGCat is still available for use if/when needed.
