Train U.P.! – August 3, 2021

If you missed the Train U.P.! that was held on Tuesday, the notes and recording are available on the Wiki. We hosted guests from the Western Kansas Community Foundation, the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas, and the Kiowa County Library. WKCF and CFSK are institutions which have wonderful grant opportunities for libraries! These grants could potentially be awarded for the purposes of building a StoryWalk, buying books and shelving, programming, remodeling costs, etc. The due dates are fast approaching, so take a look at these resources. / Link

New Librarian in SWKLS

Yaneth Holguin
Dawn Haynes

We are happy to announce our new librarian and library clerk. Yaneth Holguin, who has been our library clerk for the past four years, is now taking over the librarian position. She will be the one who checks your books out, request your interlibrary loans, catalogs the books and so much more. Dawn Haynes is once again assuming the library clerk position and will work Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Dawn was our library clerk from 2008 to 2011, and it is good to have her back on the staff. They both look forward to serving you in these positions. Congratulations ladies!
